By downloading and installing CellularOne's new emergency alert system app, users can stay informed of adverse weather conditions, extreme and severe imminent threat warnings, Amber alerts, and Presidential alerts. CMAS serves as the wireless equivalent of the Emergency Broadcast System.

We clarify that CellularOne is an independent entity and is not associated with any government body or law enforcement agency. We cannot guarantee the receipt of alerts issued by emergency alert entities or agencies.

Q: Who sends CMAS alerts?
Most CMAS alerts are initiated by the National Weather Service, with some, like Amber alerts, being prompted by local law enforcement. All alerts are first verified through the FEMA alerting gateway before being distributed to the mobile network.

Q: Do I need a smartphone to utilize the CMAS app?
Yes, currently the CMAS app is exclusive to CellularOne smartphone users.

Q: What types of alerts are accessible through CMAS?
